About:Foreign Embassies & Consulates in China

Hello.

I am Nigerian, studying in Shanghai. (Caijing daxue).
I will be graduating this winter and I want to invite my mom for my graduation. What kind of document am I required to give her as Invitation? A regular invitation letter from me? Or an invitation from me (authenticated by Shanghai entry-exit administration Bureau).. I need to know which will be honoured by the Chinese embassy in Nigeria. Xie xie nin!

It is prefered if you can get an invitation letter authenticated by Shanghai entry-exit admission Bureau. Well,for individuals' family visit, I don't think you will get an invitation letter authenticated by the exit-etry admission bureau. Probably, you can get the invitation letter with your school's official seal stamped on.

Thanks for the reply I really appreciate it.. I can come in person to apply my canadian visa in shanghai but if its not applicable to apply in shanghai should I come to beijing to apply in person? Do you have any idea if I can apply in shanghai for a canadian visa? because i am not too sure since Im a foreigner on this country.

There is a Canadian consulate in Shanghai. I assume you can apply for the visa there. If you can't, then go directly to the Canadian Embassy in Beijing. This is the official website:
