About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

I am a Malaysian working in China, holding the Residence Permit For Foreigner In The People's Republic Of China. If my mother(Malaysian) want to go to China to stay with me (> 30 days), what kind of visa can my mother apply? And how long is the maximum stay of my mother in China under the visa applied? Thanks.

Your mother should apply for an L visa for family visit. For family visit, the visa officers may give her a visa with a little longer duration of stay. Also, it is possible to get the duration of the visa extended in the local public security bureau after her entry.
