About:China Visa

Dear Sir/Madam
I am a UK citizen traveling around SE asia, i have been invited by a friend to visit her in china on the way home.Am I able to get a visa for china at the embassy in kuala lumpur? I cannot seem to get hold of anyone there and some people have told me i have to obtain the visa in my country of residence.

If you have enough time to get China visa in your home country, it is better to get it there since you may be required to provide additional documents (such as a Malaysian visa or residence permit)when you are applying for the visa there.
