About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I am an American citizen, but I have been in Canada with my wife (who "is" a Chinese Citizen) while she attends university. We want to travel to China later this year, but I need to know if I am required to return to the United States to get my Chinese Visa, or if I am allowed to come to Ottawa and get one.

I have one the I got when I was in the United States 2 years ago, but it is expired now.

Please help

You can obtain a China visa in Ottawa. In addition to the basice required documents, you are also required to present a Canadian visa or valid Canadian residence permit when you apply for the visa outside your home country.
