In Yangshou will recommend you to try the beer fish (much try) the most famous local dish and Guilin Noodle. Try the restaurant on the right hand side of West Street (Yangshou) entrance.
Public transport in Yangshou are convinient. Try to buy all the entrance tickets of View Points will those Tourist Agents (at the street and ask them to bring you to office and pay direct in office) then take a bus/mini car to the view points.
In Guilin, the foods, shirts, public transport and etc are generally cheaper than Yangshou. In Guilin, you may the a bus (Guan Guang No.1) with air-conditional with RMB2 (others RMB1 but only short distance) at railway station bus station. The bus is specifically for travellers and it will pass through all the View Points in Guilin City such as Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park, Fubo Hill, Li River, Twin Pagoda and etc.
In Guilin City, you much visit the Li Jian Water Fall Hotel at night. Real water fall show from the top of hotel till the bottom from 8.30pm for 15 min.
