my brothers and i also my mam want to visit Da Bu ( my Hakka clan is Da Bu san he ba ).
how can i reach there?
anybody can guide me?
frankly speaking i was born in indonesia ( third generation ) .
i am willing to know more about my family in china

So, Indonesia to Meizhou?! Fly to Guangzhou and take bus to Meizhou through Meihe Expressway (4 hours). Good Luck. It is not farmilar for us to know the Hakka clans. It seems too many and hard to find any versions in Chinese.

you can fly to Guangzhou,from there take a local flight (China Southern has daily flights)to Meizhou (moi yan in hakka dialect) airport. It will help if your mother can speak some hakka. Hakka people are helpful and you won't get lost. Like any where in China, Mandarin is spoken freely and if you don't speak Mandarin then it would be more convenient if you can have the name of your clan, address, name of hotel and address/phone written clearly in Chinese on a piece of paper. By showing this to the taxi driver or anyone else in Meizhou it will be understood. Good luck and have a safe journey.

My grand parent came from Da bu, too. I will see my relatives, who never meet on this August. I am really excited to see them.
