It's very difficult to answer, as there are too many emperors or kings in Chinese history. If we count them from the Emperor Qinshihuang on, there are:
Qin - 2
Han - 31
Three Kingdoms - 11
Jin - 16
Southern and Northern Dynasties - 59
Sui - 3
Tang - 22
Five Dynasties and Ten States Period - 55
Song - 18
Liao and West Xia - 35
Yuan - 18
Ming - 16
Qing - 12
If the emperors of Southern Ming, Northern Yuan, Li Zicheng, Zhang Xianzhong, Hong Xiuquan and his son (the leaders of the Heavenly Kingdom) and Yuan Shikai were counted in, there are 408 emperors.
