Hi,My wife who is Singaporean would like to visit friends in Shanghai with our son who is French. Can we apply for a visa from Singapore as we'll be in Singapore in July/August 09? What are the necessary papers that we have to show for my wife and son who is 13 years old? We should stay (in Shangahai)for about 7-10 days.  Many thanks for your help. Alain

Your wife needn't a visa to Shanghai because Singaporean citizens are exempt from visa to mainland of China for up to 15 days. Your son need a visa to Shanghai. He should submit his passport, one completely filled out Visa application form affixed with one recently taken passport photo, Singapore PR.EP.WP. (Original and photocopy) or Embarkation card
