mutianyu - has anyone used a private guidewould recommend them?

Mutianyu - has anyone used a private guide and would recommend them?   Going at beginning of May.  Any and all recommendations about visiting are welcome.

we took a tour through our hotel. I would recommend this over batalang as there were hardly any other tourists there so lots of great pictures. It is possible to just hire a taxi to take you and wait for you there as its a good drive out of beijing. We loved it.
