hello I am a French citizen, I will be in Kathmandu in July and I want to travel on to Tibet.I know I need the Tibet Travel permit and also the China visa  to enter Tibet my question is: can I apply for the China visa when I arrive in Kathmandu? and then can I apply a few days later for the Tibet Travel permit?thanks very much

It is better for you to apply for the Tibet Travel permit as early as possible before your departure because to get the travel permit, you have to contact the Tibet Tourist Bureau. Currently, foreigners who visit Tibet should join a tour group. Individuals can not access Tibet.
