If my husband has a work visa for Hong Kong and I have just applied for my own visa through him, would we need additional visas for Tibet?

Remember Hong Kong is a special autonomous region of China. Hong Kong visa is different from China Visa. If you go to Tibet, you should apply for China Visa and also the Tibet Travel Permit. Foreign tourists are not allowed to go to Tibet as an individual. You should join a group tour and get the Travel Permit through your travel agency.
