About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Next week I will be in Hong Kong and I would like to apply for a Chinese visa there. Is the office located on the train station the right place? What documents should I have ready? How long does it takes to have it there?
Any recommendation?

It takes four working days to get a Chinese visa. You must prepare your valid passport, recent photo affixed to a duly filled application form and your flight tickets and hotel reserve.
