About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Is it possible to apply for a Chinese visa in Ho Chi Minh and then have it issued in Hanoi?

Hi Ms. Fiona, why do you want to apply for a visa in this city and collect it in another city? If all the required materialsa are ready, you can pick up your visa within four working days after your submitting.

I don't have much time in Vietnam as I am travelling through from Cambodia to Hong Kong. I would like to make sure that I have the visa in time, but can only buy my onward ticket to Hong Kong in Vietnam apparently and therefore can only apply for a visa in Vietnam.
