About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

I'm planning to visit Beijing next month for a total duration of 8 days. Do I need to apply for a visa? I know the rules have somewhat changed after the olympics.

Singaporean passport holders can have visa-free access to China and stay up to 15 days for the purpose of sightseeing.
