Dear Sir, Dear Madam, I'm a doctor from Russia, currently working in Switzerland.I have the B Swiss resident permit.My father is a Professor in a Hong-Kong University and my family lives there.I'd like to visit them shortly at the end of March - early in April 2009.  Would you be so kind to advise me a list of documents, required for Chinese visa in my case and also let me know, if I should make an appointment  for the documents submission. My  passport expires 10.08.2009. Thank you a lot in advance, Ekaterina

You can send your application directly to the Immigration Department of HK Special Administrative Region. The regulation on HK visa application is a little different from that of mainland Chinese visa. Regarding Chinese visa regulation, you'd better renew your passport firstly since a valid passport with at least 6 months left before expiration is required for visa-granting.
