What if you don't know how to use chopsticks at all will they let you use afork or spoon

Its okay to ask for fork and spoon, however the chinese appriciate you attempting to eat with chopsticks - its actually not that difficult.

Well they might teach you how to eat with chopsticks. But if not then I would ask for a spoon or a fork.
