About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hi, I am an Uzbekistan citizen studying in Japan. I want to go to Beijing to take an intensive CELTA course. I have 2 year student japanese visa, but it will finish in October 2, 2009.
The CELTA course is on April and May, 2009.
But the administration of the course said they do not give any invitations and all I need is hotel reservation and tickets. Is that correct? What visa type I should apply for?

If you can not get an invitation letter, you can only apply for a tourist visa (L visa).
