I have no complain on Harbin apart from the ripped off at Sun Island (the morning Snow Sculpture Park) I wish the Helongjiang authorities will investigate the operations at Sun Island, especially if they are charging RMB120 per entry. We, a group of 7 travellers were ripped off by the Sun Island tram ride because the operators assure us it will be unlimited rides when we purchased the tram tickets (RMB15/adult and RMB10/child). However when we request for a second round ride, the operators deny us saying that it only allow for 1 round. However, it is the operators fault as they did not define the embark/ disembark station. We mistook the 2nd ride after the central stop was leading to the next stop but instead the tram took us back to the exit point. So we end up paying RMB15 for only one stop. In addition, those visiting this park please bring your own drinks/ snacks as cafe/snack kiosk are limited. Otherwise, you will end up exorbitantly charged for drinks and snacks. Even if you are prepared to pay the high price ie. RMB20 for coffee/tea and RMB30 for hot chocolate, don't say you are not forewarn as the drinks look murky and thinly diluted that you will start wondering if those are from the melted snow which you found on your shoes. I am asking the relevant authorities to take check on these unscrupulous operators or probably train up the staffs accordingly to provide a better service.
