About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hi.

In your website, it states that a passport valid for 6 months is needed to go out of the country. I planned on going to Hong Kong at the end of the month for three days to celebrate the chinese new year. I asked at least three travel agencies and that they are saying that a passport valid for three months (mine will expire May) would be fine, since its just Hong Kong.

I would just like to verify this information before i purchase a ticket.

Thanks. Your immediate reply would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

Mr.Mark, Philippines passport holders are exempt from visa to Hong Kong for 14 days at most. So you just need hold your valid passport with 3 months remaining validity for entering Hong Kong. However, if you need apply for a visa to Hong Kong, your passport should have at least 6 months remaining validity.
