About:Tang Dynasty

I'm confused. Is the first emperor Li Yuan, Taizong Li Shimin, or Gaozu? I understand what's written, but there seems to be a lot missing. I need better explanations, more specifics; not so much jumping around.

Smile! :)

Well, Li Yuan is the first emperor of Tang, called Emperor Gaozu. His second son Li Shimin succeeded the
kingship. Li Shimin is the Emperor Taizong. The third emperor, Li Shimin's son, was named Li Zhi. He is the Emperor Gaozong.
