Is it possible to travel by train from Hangzhou to Hong Kong/Kowloon? Any advice would be most appreciated. e-mail: <span class="clspost">bigpond.com|muggles3</span>

Mr.Colin Weedon, there is no direct train from Hangzhou to Hong Kong (Kowloon), you need transfer a train in Guangzhou.
There are four trains from Hangzhou to Guangzhou:
Train Departure Time Arrival Time Runtime
K527 06:24 04:16 21hours 52mins
K511 11:47 06:39 18hours 52mins
T169 13:21 05:46 16hours 25mins
K212/K209 15:41 11:11 19hours 30mins

There are 14 trains from Guangzhou to Kowloon. It usually takes 2 hours. You can very easily buy a train ticket to Kowloon in Guangzhou
