Mr. Emmet
The rain is not as bad as that in Ireland! IF it rains, it rains for short periods and it is the tropics, so the rain can be very refreshing. Indeed, if there is a typhoon warning in the South China Sea at that time, the winds can be a little rough accompanied by rain, but that is not very often.
Temperatures are nice, slightly humid though.
If anything else, please let me know.

Hi, I spent seven days on Hainan august 2008, the best thing i could say about hainan, is that i could live there NO problem permanently.Beaches especially in Sanya, Dadong bay,Yalong bay absolutely fantastic,Scuba diving,Jet skiing,Jet Flying you name it, Food stick to the Fish dishes cant go wrong.Good class Hotel 3 star around 40 yuan per night, just a 5 minute walk from those beaches, Yes steer clear of those cheap tour guides, i would suggest do your own thing,if possible hire a car and maybe a driver cuzz you need to be brave to drive in the cities..Mr Emmet go for it,you will never regret it..
