dim sum is like a dessert.you can eat them after meals.BUT dumpling is a kind of main course.you can search for some pictures for internet~~

Dim sum is from cantones, and dumpling is from main land china, they are almost is the same. but Dim sum includ some other things. And dumpling is just jiaozi

dim sum is different kinds of food like chicken feet, coconut bun etc. the dumpling is just a plain old dumpling.

dim sum is just like snacks it can be soup, cake,or fruit.dumpling sometimes also can be regarded as dim sum but usually some places in China regarded as one kind of main food. the stuffs can be vegetable, meat and so on.

Dim Sum can be dumplings, but it can also be chicken feet or other small things. They are small portions of food (1 or 2 bites at the most) and are mostly served at tea time
