About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Hi, May I know what are the documents the embassy will ask for a china tourist visa application, I have visa form, photo and passport as well as my flight itinerary and hotel confirmation. Is that sufficient? Will you validate my passport with any scan from china immigration? I have a passport validity of more than 1 year, can I apply a tourist visa?
