I'm filipino working in singapore and i want to visit my friend this month december 2008 at Guangzhou what visa should i take? do you need any invitaion letter from my friend at Guangzhou?

You need gain a L Visa that issued to foreigners who come to china for sightsseeing, visiting kins or friends, or other private affaires. yes, you need an invitation letter from you friend at Guangzhou.
