About:Buddhism

I took a brief course on Buddhism in college.. and if I understand what you're saying, you don't want to be ordained as a Buddhist monk but would like to practice the religion, right? If I remember correctly, people that do so are called "lay people". I don't really remember anything else, so you should look into "lay people" if you're really interested.

So is this information credible? I can not find any site with such great information, but this is for a research project, therefore I am concerned. I want to make sure my research is correct.
