I suggest you taking more time to know much more about Buddhism since you are very young. Interest is one thing, while to become a buddhist you must believe in Buddhism, and you have to take priestly vows, something like being baptised.

On, my dear Mr. Bardin, I guess you just want to learn Chinese kung fu. It's often to see monks using kung fu, so you want to be a monk. Actually, ordinary persons can go to Shaolin Temple to learn kung fu as long as you would love to.

In the aspect of religion, China is so different from your country. We have three major religions, including Buddhism, Taoism and Islam. Christianity and Catholics are also believed in. So, in China you can see Buddhist and Taoist temples, Islamic mosques and Christian churches. However, most of Chinese people don't have religion, I think. Maybe, you cannot imagine how a person can live without religion. But it's true. They also live a happy life. They have something to pursue. So, when you want to choose a religion but don't know which one should be chosen, why not be calm to accept this gap? Just relax yourself and spend some time understanding Buddhism. Oh, don't forget a truth that Buddhists should be vegetarians.
