About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Dear Sir/Madam,
I understand I can enter China without visa and stay for 15 days. If when I am there, I need to extend my stay, would it be possible to get a visa at the local embassy there? I will be in Beijing. Thank you!

Hi, Ms. Lai, you can't get a visa at the local embassy if you are in China now. But you can apply for a visa at the nearest Public Security Bureau in Beijing after entry into China.

Please do this before 15 days after entry. Overstayers will be punished by the Chinese Public Security organ or Passport Control Station according to relevant law.
