About:China Embassy in Thailand

Hi,
I'm going to be in Bangkok in January (the week before Chinese New Year) and was wondering if visa services will still be offered then? I need to renew my visa. Do you know if/when the embassy closes for Chinese New Year?

The embassy will be closed from January 26 to Febuary 1 for Chinese New Year. So you'd better apply for your Chinese visa earlier.

Thank you for your response. If I submit my passport and all related paperwork on Wednesday, January 21st, and paid extra for 2-3 day processing, would I be able to pick my visa up on Friday, January 23rd?

Generally speaking, you can pick visa up if you successfully apply for 'the 2-3 working days processing express service'. However, the rush service of same day pick-up and express service is subject to the decision of visa consuls. If the amount of visa applications is large, the consuls may refuse the application for Express Service. To ensure your success, you'd better provide your air ticket flying to China in the next days.
