Am I o.k. without Home Return Permit?

I hold HKSAR passport. I bought a China Eastern airline ticket from Vancouver to Hong Kong. I have to stop in Shanghai Airport for 4 hours for the connecting flight. Am I o.k. without Home Return Permit?

Hi, it is ok if the stopover is less than 24 hours and you will not leave the airport transit area.
