About:Requirements for China Visa Application in US
Do you need a Visa to change planes in China? Landing in Beijing airport and changing planes.

Going to Bangkok first, then India. Will change planes again in Beijing on way back to Los Angeles. Is there a Visa requirement? If so, what is it?

NO visa is required if you hold confirmed onward tickets and seats on international flights and directly transit through China and stay for no more than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
