student visa validity date range

Question

I am getting a student X for the spring. My semester officially starts February 26 (Orientation feb.23) and ends July 1st. What should I expect for my earliest date of entry and latest exit from China? I'd like to be there for the new year on February 16.

Hi, you can enter the country at any time after you get the student X type, and you can stay in there for 6 months at most after your entry if your X type is valid for 6 months. So if you go there on February 16, you need to leave before August 17 or so.
