Taiwan in June

Hi all, any advise on the following.

Plans to visit Taipei 3 days, Taichung / Nantou area 3 days, any other areas to go, I have another 2 days to spare.

In Taichung and Nantou, what are the recommended must visit places. (travelling with elderly)

I am thinking Sun moon lake, Ali Shan, Fengjia Night Market, cingjing farm.

As I am travelling in June, will these places be safe to go?
