Can Thai passport holders apply for 24H TWOT visa in Shanghai China

Hi, I'm traveling from London to Bangkok and have to transit at Shanghai International Airport. I heard that Thai passport holders can travel to China without visa from March 2024. I'm wondering if we're allowed to apply the 24H TWOT visa in China now.

Thank you very much

Nitchakarn, you do not need any visa free transit scheme because as a Thai citizen you will cross China absolutely visa free. Just consider your transit through China as a visit to this country. In other words, if you plan to exit the airport, you will just fill out the arrival/departure card that you will receive aboard the plane and just step in the immigration queue upon landing in Shanghai to exit the airport. You really do not need to bother yourself about any formality, visa free transit included.
