About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Return repeat visa options?

Hi - would the following be possible:

EU -> Shanghai (72 or 144 hr) -> HKG
(1 week later)
HKG -> Shanghai (72 or 144 hr) -> EU

Yes, your itinerary, both segments are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. It is just important that your itinerary does not have any additional landing of any kind within mainland China. By the way, there is no 72 hour visa free transit in Shanghai. It was replaced by more generous 144 hour visa free transit many years ago.
