I am not going to take any airplanes going back to Germany. I want to enter via train fro Laos to Kunming and from Kunming to Ürümqi by train. From Ürümqi to Kazakhstan by train or bus. No hotel stay planned. Just going through China the fastest way possible. Would a 144 hour transit visa applicable for this train journey?

I am registered by the German government as a citizen living abroad outside the EU without any address registered. I am living on a boat and have no fixed address. Though my Malaysian son, a minor, is going to school in KL. Would I have a chance of obtaining a visa in KL then?
