About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

I am a Singaporean who has a UnionPay debit card from Bank of Communication from Wuxi.

The card has been de-activated.
My friend from Wuxi told me the bank require my presence with the passport in order to activate the card.
I bought a plane ticket to Shanghai & planned to stay with my friend in Wuxi for 6 days.
Do I apply for tourist visa or business visa.
Do I need my friend to invite me.

It's easier for you to get a tourist visa and you need an invitation letter from your friend if you cannot provide hotel bookings.
