About:Shangri-La Travel

I have been told the road to Lijiang <> Shangri-La might be closed in Dec/winter.

We plan to leave LJ early morning to First bend of Yanzhi then to TLG and continue to Shangri-La for the night. We will spend the next day to Songzanlin, Dukezong, etc.. and need to be back to LJ for a night train to KMG.

May I know if it's viable and worth for us to include Shangri-La in our trip.

To be honest, I don't think either the scenery or the temperature would be suitable to go to Shangri-la in December. At that time, the temperature would be very low, and the temperature difference between day and night would be large, and the animals has entered hibernation. Thus I think the travel route First Bend of Yanzhi - TLG - Songzanlin - Dukezong is already good enough.
