About:China Visa

Can I use a 72 or 144 hour visa for my trip.

I want to travel from Australia to Shanghai with a connecting flight in Hong Kong. Stay in Shanghai for 2 days then fly to Hong Hong for 3 days then back to Australia. Is this possible with a transit visa? Or must I fly direct to Shanghai? Thanks

If your travel route would be Australia-HK-Shanghai-Hong Kong-Australia, you need to apply for a visa for the trip. But Australia-Shanghai-Hong Kong-Australia will be fine for the 144 hr free transit in Shanghai.
