About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Malaysian citizens 72 hours visa free visit?

I am a Malaysian citizen.

I will taking a KUL-PVG-SFO return flight on China Eastern.

I have a stopover of 6 hours, arrive PVG 7.30am and depart 1pm for SFO. And I would like to explore the city. However on the Visa Free 72 hours, I note that Malaysia isn't on the list. (Except our neighbours Brunei, Singapore)

Can Malaysians still enjoy this 72 hour privilege? Or I have spend six hours at the airport? Thanks

Hi, Lee, you cannot enjoy free transit policy in mainland China, so you need to apply for a visa for the trip beforehand.
