Jinshanling Great Wall Walk on August 19

Hi, my daughter & I were planning on going to Jinshanling from Beijing on August 19 but I have seen it is closed from June. Where else can we go to hike on the wall on this day & how can we get there?

Yeah, the Jinshanling section will be closed during that time. You could choose Simatai Great Wall in Miyun County, about 120km from Beijing. To get there, you should take subway line 1 or line 2 to Dongzhimen Station. And take bus No. 980 or 980 Express at Dongzhimen Transition Hub to Miyun Station. Then take bus Mi 37, Mi50, or Mi51 to Simatai Village. It shares the same entrance with Gubei Water Town.

One more thing, you'd better book the ticket of the wall in advance.
