About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Beijing - Shanghai. What if I have 2 separate flights.

Seoul (South Korea) to Shanghai. And then after 62 hours - Shanghai to Boston, US through Beijing.
So I'll be entering the country through Shanghai and then leaving from Shanghai again but it's a local flight to Beijing first and then Beijing to Boston in 2 hours - can I use 72hr transit?

No, because you can't enter the country from Shanghai and leave from Beijing.
