About:China Transit Visa

I will be traveling with two layovers in China. Do I qualify for a 24 hour visa?

I have a flight with two short layovers in NKG and PVG and a long layover in Beijing. During my long Beijing layover I hoped to leave the airport with a 24 or 72 hour free transit. Would this be possible? I'm worried because what I've read is that if I have another layover I may not qualify.

Barbara, you are not eligible for the 72-hour free transit policy because you transit in three Chinese cities. If your total layover in these cities do not add up to more than 24 hours, the transit G type is not required. If the layover is longer than 24 hours, you need to apply for a transit G type at the embassy in advance.
