can travel visa-free from hong kong to schenzhen for 1 day?

USA ladies staying in Hong Kong a few days wish to do on a same-day excursion to/from Schenzhen. Where can we obtain a visa-free exemption? Perhaps from HKG airport upon arrival or in town? What's required? Thanks!  Nina

Nina, I'm afraid you cannot do this day trip to Shenzhen visa-free. However, if you depart from HK to Shenzhen and then to a third country, you can use the 144h visa-free transit policy in Guangdong Province.
