So I'm holding Indonesia pasport and US Pr and I'm going to Japan but overnight layover in Beijing. So do I need visa if I want to seesight outside Beijing for less than 24 hours? Thank you

Novy, no, you don’t need it. You can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the immigration office inside Beijing airport, and then you can go to the city for a visit.
