According to my experience, two or three days are enough to cover the highlights of Shenzhen city. Since you have 4 days, you may visit the Splendid China and the Window of the World on the first day, then spend a full day visiting Xiaomeisha Scenic Area if weather permits. Happy Valley is recommended if you have children. For the last day, you can go to Dongmen Pedestrian Street and Hua Qiang Bei to do some shopping. As for Hong Kong, you are suggested to visit Disneyland, Victoria Peak, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and Lantau Island for three days.
