A temporary entry permit

I'm a Thai Citizen with US Visa Travelling from San Francisco to Bangkok with a 21 hours layover in Shanghai, how possible I can get a temporary entry permit to leave the airport for sightseeing?

I read many comment saying now we're not allow to leave the airport even we're qualified for 24 hr direct transit.

Thank you

Sand, you can go to the immigration office at the airport to apply for a temporary stay permit and then you can leave the airport for sightseeing. It is not that difficult to get it. Just have a try after arriving there.
