Chinese Electrical devices useable in UK ?

I've bought a piece of laboratory equipment from China which operates on a 220v circuit. Am i ok to use in the UK with just an adaptor plug or do I need a transformer as UK operates on 230v ?

Robin, you don't need to prepare a transformer. It can work under the voltage of 230V.
