buying tickets of forbidden city

Question

Hi!I was wondering if it was possible to by the ticket early in the morning and then wait to enter the palace until after lunch? Or do you have to enter right away after buying it? I was also wondering if one person can buy the tickets for the whole group (we are 20)?

Of course your plan will do. The ticket is valid for a whole day. And generally it is ok for one to buy several tickets with their passports. But 20 pls are too many. In case of any problem, it is suggested that at least 4-5 of you line up there.
