Airline would not allow me to board

I intended to use Shanghai's 144-HR visa on arrival policy, but was not allowed to board as Delta does not have in their policy that this exists. What can I do?

You can search for the 144 hour free transit policy at the TIMATIC data base and then print out the relevant information and show them to the airlines. It may work out.

Thanks, I did it. Unfortunately not in time and missed my flight... Delta eventually found this in the exemptions section of timatic policy and offered "sincere apologies." Not very happy with delta right now.
